The St Lawrence Academy opens in September 2008 replacing High Ridge Specialist Sports College. The Academy will build on the success of High Ridge which is a good and improving school (OFSTED 2006). Our challenge is an exciting one, to create a great academy by transforming, innovating and inspiring our learning community to be successful.
Our sponsors are the Diocese of Lincoln and our vision for the academy is to deliver
personalised learning, be inclusive of all our learners, champion the spiritual development of our students and work collaboratively with our local community to ensure that "every child matters" in The St Lawrence Academy.
We are oversubscribed in Year 7 for September, we will be a Specialist Sports College with Science as our second specialism and as part of the BSF programme, we will have a new
building due to be completed in 2011.
